Despite its size, I don't remember this particular title being mentioned in the textbook.
The Bible is often criticized for its negative impact on society. If anything, it's arguably the book with the worst influence on humanity as a whole. It must also be noted that the Bible is also one the central roots and foundations of all human culture and has saved our species from the brink of destruction more than a few times.
Some specifics? Certainly. The Bible's traditional nature prevents adaptation to new ideals and technology. It's a book written almost two millennia ago. Human morality, society, and its infrastructure have changed quite dramatically since then. Military operations have been founded all throughout history to enforce the omnipresent nature of the Bible. Need I mention the Crusades? The Bible has been the foundation for many wars and many vicious attacks between people and is the mantelpiece for misdirection by figures of power. Due to its popularity, it's been the core to quite some nasty business.
Religion can be that way sometimes, despite its otherwise kind nature.

I agree, print media including the Bible had profound effects long before there technological media were invented, and still do!
Although the Bible and the religions that follow made profound effects on human nature, I wouldn't think that it's necessarily the Bible itself. I think the interpretation and actions based on the heart of the individual who read Scripture are the ones who have made this negative impact on society. I feel that people are very quick to assume that the Bible itself is the main cause of the actions of the said individuals, but the people who see the negative influences of the Bible neglect to notice that humanity is essentially corrupted.
